shoufu-nori

i've been trying out a new type of paste i got from paper nao called shoufu.  it's a wheat starch paste (free of protein).  it's supposed to be a good paste for restoration because it makes a relatively weak bond; can be thinned down to "match" a weakened paper.  i used it to back some lovely blue (but slightly too thin) paper i plan to use on the inside of this clamshell box.  the shoufu makes a lovely smooth paste and i had such a nice morning working with such nice (expensive) materials.
